This policy explains what information Carrier Filing collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Carrier Filing is a service of Catalyst Automation LLC ("Catalyst", "we", "us"), 1309 Coffeen Avenue, STE 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Your USDOT number and number of power units.
- Your email address.
- Your payment card details, which you enter directly into a secure form provided by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Public carrier information: when you enter a USDOT number, we look up the carrier's public registration record (such as legal name, location, and fleet size) from Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration data, so you can confirm it is the right carrier.
Information collected automatically: when you visit, we record your IP address, the date and time, and details from the link you used (for example, a campaign code, whether you came from a text message, and which version of the page you saw). We keep a small setting in your browser's local storage so you see the same version of the page each time. We do not use advertising cookies. Stripe may use cookies on the payment form to prevent fraud.
2. How we use it
- To file your UCR registration and process your payment.
- To send your receipt and contact you about your order or filing.
- To prevent fraud and duplicate charges.
- To understand and improve how the site performs.
- To send marketing emails and text messages, but only if you have opted in to receive them.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide our service:
- Stripe, to process payments.
- The UCR Plan, to file your registration.
- Service providers that host our website and data or deliver our emails and text messages, who may use it only to provide those services to us.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.
4. Text messages
We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers, text message opt-in data, or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with providers that help us send text messages, and only for that purpose.
If you opted in to texts from us, you can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
5. Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any email.
- Stop text messages by replying STOP.
- Ask to see, correct, or delete your information by emailing support@carrierfiling.com. We may need to keep some records, such as payment and filing records, where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep order, payment, and filing records for as long as needed to provide our service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We keep visit records for as long as they are useful for understanding site performance.
7. Security
Our site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Card payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to the payment card industry's security standard (PCI DSS). No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we work to protect yours.
8. Children
Our service is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date when we do.
